What's proper burning? You need to let the candle burn until the wax has pooled the entire way across the container before blowing out. Burning the candle for less time causes them to tunnel burn instead of burning all the wax in the container, clear to the bottom and leaving you with an empty container. Also you should not burn your soy candles for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time.
